300 kadar yeni özelliği bulunduğu belirtilen web tarayıcısı Safari, masaüstü için Stacks adı verilen yeni bir organizasyon sistemine ve müzik tutkunlarının iTunes'da albüm kapaklarına göz atabilmeleri gibi kullanıcıların imleçlerini dosya ve uygulamaların üzerine getirerek, o dosyanın ve uygulamanın özelliklerine göz atabilmesine olarak sağlayan yeni bir dosya sistemine sahip bulunuyor.

Yeni tarayıcı ayrıca kullanıcıların film, fotoğraf, belgeler gibi dosyaları bağlantılı uygulamayı açmadan ön izleme yapabilmelerini sağlayan Quick Look adlı bir özellik sunuyor. Bu özellik sayesinde kullanıcı bir film dosyasına QuickTime programını çalıştırmadan ön izleme yapabilecek.
